Gluten Free Pasta

It’s national pasta day! Pasta is one of my favorite meals. I usually have a jar of sauce and a box of noodles on hand almost at all times. But when I became gluten free, pasta wasn’t so easy anymore. There are a lot of brands that carry gluten free noodles nowadays, and a lot of noodle alternatives as well. But finding the one you like best can be difficult! It takes some trial and error before you get it right.

My favorite brand of boxed pasta noodles is Jovial. The texture isn’t too sticky, crunchy, or mushy like some other brands I’ve tried. I also use spaghetti squash from time to time. Once you learn how to roast it, it’s a good alternative to noodles and makes me feel like I’m eating a little healthier!

If you can handle a bit of cross contamination at restaurants, I’ve found that Olive Garden and Cheesecake Factory have great gf pasta options. And for those local in Southern California, Vince’s Spaghetti has good gf pasta as well. They even have gf bread to go with it!
