Celebrate by baking something gluten free!
Did you know that there is a Gluten Free Baking Week? In 2023 it falls on December 17-24. It occurs every year in December, and it’s a way to bring awareness and encourage people to bake gluten free so those with gluten allergies or sensitivities have a dessert that’s safe to eat during all of the gatherings that take place this time of year! Being gluten free definitely presents a challenge when you are a guest at a dinner or party, and a lot of people don’t understand that it’s not just a diet you can set aside for the day and eat whatever you want. I know I usually end up eating before I go or bringing my own food rather than risk getting there and not having anything that’s safe to eat.
So if you like baking, pull out your gluten free flour and try out some new recipes! Pinterest is a great place to start looking for new ideas. Gluten free baking can be tricky at times, you can’t always replace regular wheat flour with gluten free all purpose flour in every recipe, so it may take some trial and error. But if you find a recipe that’s designed to be gluten free and follow it, you should have good results! If you don’t like baking, I’m here to do it for you! Be sure to place your orders plenty of time in advance so it will be ready when you need it!
